Our Ministries
It has been almost ten years since our inception. We first began doing the work of the Lord in Central Trinidad with a Bible study which began at our neighbors’ home in the month of October, 1999. Three months later that Bible study which started with six persons had grown to 15, and thus began our humble beginnings.
Our first Sunday worship service began in the garage of the pastor’s home on January 19, 2000. Since then, we have been ministering to the people in the small village of Arena and its surroundings. We have been evangelizing mostly to the Hindu community, conducting prayer meetings at many of these homes in the village and also providing help to two orphanages in the central area of Trinidad. We also provide school books, uniforms, shoes, and school fees whenever the need arises in the orphanage as well as in the village. On a monthly basis, we have been donating food baskets to the poor and needy in our village and surrounding areas. We have also helped in repairing the homes of various new church members in order to create a more safe and secure home for their families. Frequently, these people could not afford to pay for the repairs to their homes due to the high cost of living in our country.
Our main goal is to win the lost to Christ. We aim to teach and train the people on how to build a relationship with Jesus by guiding them into a changed lifestyle by the renewing of their minds. This, in turn, will enable them to have a closer walk with Jesus. We do not intend to preach and to evangelize only, but we strive to be a living testimony through our brotherly love, words, and works.
