Statement of Faith

The Word of God
We believe that the Holy Scriptures are divinely inspired and men who were chosen by God were appointed, anointed and “moved by the Holy Spirit” to write the words of the Scriptures and that the original manuscripts are without error (2 Peter 1:21). We believe that the Holy Scripture is fully inerrant, infallible and is the authorative Word of God.

The Triune Godhead
We believe there is only one true and living God. He is the Creator, Redeemer, Sustainer and Ruler of all. He is eternally existent in the persons of the Holy Trinity – The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

  • God the Father – We believe that God the Father reigns over His universe. He is omniscient, omnipresent and omnipotent. He is all-powerful, all-loving, all-knowing, and all-wise. He is the same yesterday, today and forever.
We believe that justification is a an act of God for those that believe in Jesus Christ, God’s only begotten Son.
We believe that regeneration of the human spirit is essential for the salvation of humankind and is accomplished by the power of the Holy Spirit.
  • God the Son – We believe in the virgin birth of the Lord Jesus Christ, that He is the eternal Son of God, became man without ceasing to be God (John 1:14) and He is the image of the invisible God (Colossians 1:15). He was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of a virgin to reveal God. We believe in Jesus’ death, resurrection and His ascension to the right hand of God the Father, where He now intercedes on behalf of those who trust and believe on Him by faith. He is our High Priest and advocate. (John 1:18; Romans 3:24-26, 8:34; John 1:1-3, 14; 3:17; Hebrews 10:4-14; 1 John 2:2).
  • God the Holy Spirit – We believe that the Holy Spirit is a Divine Person who convicts the world of sin. He brings new life to those who are spiritually dead. We believe in Holy living, the Baptism in the Holy Spirit with signs following, the Gifts of the Holy Spirit, and the Lord’s super-natural healing of the human body in the name of Jesus. We believe that the Holy Spirit indwells believers and seals them unto the day of final redemption (John 3:3-8; 14:16-17; 16:7-11; 1 Corinthians 12:7-11, 13; Ephesians 4:30; 5:18).

Creation
We believe that man was created in the image and likeness of God. We believe that God created the heavens and the earth, including all life, (Genesis 1:1; John 1:3; Colossians 1:16-17) visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities, we believe all things were created by Him and for Him. (Colossians 1:16)

Satan
We believe that Satan is a fallen angel. He is the author of sin, the father of lies and the one who presented the temptation that led to the fall of man. We believe Satan has already been defeated and he is destined to eternal punishment in the lake of fire. (Matthew 4:1-3; Acts 5:3; 2 Corinthians 4:4; Revelation 20:10)

Man
Although mankind was made in the image and likeness of God, they chose sin and are spiritually lost. This is true of all human beings for the scriptures reveal that all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and except a person be born again by the Holy Spirit, he/she cannot see the Kingdom of God. (Genesis 1:26-27; John 3:3; Romans 3:10, 23)

Salvation
We believe that salvation is a free gift from God for all who put their trust in Jesus, as their Savior. Jesus’ work was accomplished at the cross of Calvary and thereby our sins are forgiven and we are born into the family of God by the regenerating work of the Holy Spirit. (John 1:12; Acts 16:30-33; Romans 10:9-10; Ephesians 1:7; 2:8-9)

The Great Commission
We believe we are called to walk after the Spirit and not after the flesh and it is the Christian’s duty and privilege to seek the fulfillment of Christ’s Great Commission and to minister in His name to this needy world. We believe that we are to be instruments of Jesus Christ because all authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Jesus because Satan no longer has any authority over God’s children to stop the work of God on earth. Therefore, we are to make disciples of all men, baptizing and teaching them to obey everything that Jesus have commanded to the very end of the age. (Matthew 25:31-46; 28:19).
